On Saturday, 16th March 2013, Timothy Bradley and Ruslan Provodnikov met for Bradley Jr's WBO World Welterweight Title. The fight took place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, and it proved to be a thrilling and intense contest from the opening bell.
Bradley, the defending champion, entered the fight with a point to prove. Known for his boxing skills rather than one-punch knockout power, Bradley decided to engage in a toe-to-toe battle with the hard-hitting challenger, Ruslan Provodnikov. This strategy initially put Bradley in a dangerous position, as he was close to being stopped within the first two rounds.
Despite the early adversity, Bradley managed to weather the storm and adapt his strategy, using his superior boxing skills to create openings and counter Provodnikov's aggressive attacks. As the fight wore on, the action remained intense, with both fighters demonstrating tremendous heart and determination.
The contest became a back-and-forth affair, with both fighters having their moments of success. However, Bradley's ability to adjust his tactics and impose his boxing skills allowed him to gain the upper hand in the later rounds. The fight ultimately went the full twelve-round distance, and the judges awarded Bradley a unanimous decision victory
