The fight
Tough to pick against Woods but Warrington knows now he cannot switch off in the later rounds again
Scouting Leigh Wood
Always holds the equaliser which has saved him in big fights before
Scouting Josh Warrington
At his peak, Warrington was one of the most disciplined fighters, he needs that here
Why the House picks Josh Warrington
A rematch between two 37-year-old former featherweight world champions who have both been stopped by Anthony Cacace in recent times wouldn’t normally inspire the belief that we will get a classic confrontation, but that’s what I think we will get. This is the end of the road for the loser, and maybe the winner too, and there is a genuine grudge here because Warrington believes the first fight was stopped too soon. He was clearly winning, but Woods did what he has done many times before, and found the equaliser in the 7th round. The fight had it all. Woods was cut, and Warrington had a point deducted before referee Michael Alexander stepped in, believing Warrington could not continue. I think Warrington will learn from the first fight and see it through to the finish with a disciplined performance, winning a close decision.
