Ishmael Davis vs Bilal Fawaz

Promoter Eddie Hearn was probably very disappointed when his prospect Junaid Bostan lost to Bilal Fawaz. But every cloud has a silver lining, as they say. The outpouring of joy over Fawaz’s victory made this fight against another good-luck story in Ishmael Davis a no-brainer. The pair contest the British and Commonwealth super-welterweight titles that Davis won in a close decision win over Londoner Sam Gilley last time out. Fawaz has proven himself a wildly motivated individual and should be able to push the more experienced Leeds man, known by his ring moniker “The Black Panther”, to the finish line in what could be a thriller. Davis has crammed so much into his 18-fight career. He comes across as a veteran already. So I believe he will snatch a hard-fought, close decision win.
