David Adeleye vs Alexander Flores
10 Round Heavyweight Bout · Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, California · DAZN
Why the House picks David Adeleye
This is a rebuild job for Adeleye, and I expect him to get it done. Flores can punch, so treating him like a walking punchbag would be daft, but this is an opponent David should be handling.
I like Adeleye’s explosive left hook. The problem is he can wait too long for the opening instead of creating it. Hrgovic outworked him, and isolated bursts weren’t enough to change that fight. I’d want a busy jab here, drawing Flores forward before bringing the hook across.
Flores wants his feet planted so he can get weight into his punches. Against Novytskyi, lateral movement and an active jab left him struggling to set himself. That gives Adeleye a clear tactical route: punch, move across, then make Flores turn before attacking again.
I reckon Adeleye’s sharper bursts will expose those defensive gaps. Keep it disciplined early, and the opening will come. Adeleye by stoppage in the fourth.
