Zach Parker bludgeons Vaughn Alexander to second round defeat

The WBO's No 1 World Super-middleweight contender Zack Parker became the first to stop American Vaughn Alexander in their vacant WBO International Super-middleweight Title showdown at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Parker, from Woodville in Derbyshire looked a full weight division bigger than Alexander and carried advantages in height, reach and power over the 35-year-old from Saint Louis, Missouri who is the brother of former world super-lightweight and welterweight world champion, Devon Alexander.

If this fight was meant to showcase Parker and his WBO No1 ranking, then it did so in style and he should now go on to much bigger fights to move him towards the world's 168lb elites.
