William Zepeda stops Hector Tanajara in six rounds for big win

Hector Tanajara started his ten rounder against William Zepeda boxing well and looking like he had worked out a style to beat the 25-year-old southpaw, but right at the end of the first round, Zepeda landed a flurry of accurate blows that was an example of what was to come.

Tanajara vs Zepeda was the opening televised bout on the Golden Boy Promotions card from the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, shown on DAZN.

The battle of unbeaten prospects became a one-sided beating for Tanajara from the start of the 2nd round, and although the 24-year-old from San Antonio, Texas tried to turn the tied he couldn't find an answer to the strength and the forward march of Zepeda.

After sustaining a steady beating, Tanajara's trainer and head cornerman Robert Garcia decided to save his man for another day by pulling him out during the break between the 6th and 7th rounds.
