Demetrius Andrade successfully defended his WBO World Middleweight Title for the fourth time with a unanimous decision win over the game Liam Williams in the main event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Despite being dropped in the 2nd round and hurt on a couple of other occasions, Williams proved himself to belong in world-class even though he never looked like beating the champion from Rhode Island.
Williams was able to apply constant pressure that saw 33-year-old Andrade work hard for the win. Andrade praised the Welshman for his gutsy display in his post-fight interview.
Scores: Gerardo Martinez 116-111 | Benoit Roussel 118-109 | Rocky Young 118-109.
