Why the House picks Michael Conlan
Conlon’s latest comeback is gathering some momentum, but he has ventured away from truly world-class opposition so far. Whilst Walsh’s record of 19-0 looks good, there is only really one result that can be used in a conversation for fringe world-class opposition, and that is his May 2025 split decision win over Tramaine Williams. There are other wins on his sheet that are decent, but not close to Conlan’s past exploits. I hope Walsh is as good as his record looks, and he makes Conlan work hard over the rounds, but ultimately, Conlan should win this. I do believe Walsh may be able to take him to the finish line.
