Mateusz Masternak vs Viddal Riley

When you consider that Masternak turned pro in June 2006 and has amassed 56 fights in his career with only six defeats, he comes across as a big step up for Viddal Riley. If you go back far enough, you’ll see the names Jean-Marc Mormack, Tony Bellew, Yuniel Dorticos and Chris Billum Smith, as well as other well-known cruiserweight contenders. But for me, the story here is the ages of the fighters and where they are currently in their careers. Mateusz Masternak is definitely heading for the end at the age of 38 and with a lot of miles on the clock. Tough as he is, he can't keep up with the young bucks. And that is exactly what Viddal Riley is, a young buck. The 28-year-old Londoner, who only has 13 fights on his record, looked quite sensational against Cheavon Clarke to win the British Cruiserweight title last time out. You have to give Masternak credit for his durability. He’s a tough man, and he won’t wanna go out on a knockout loss. Riley on points for me
