Joseph Parker gets past Dereck Chisora with controversial decision

Former WBO world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker picked himself up off the canvas early in the first round of his 12 round heavyweight bout against Dereck 'War' Chisora at Manchester Arena and boxed his way to a split decision win that was controversial, to say the least.

The British boxing public had been vocal on social media as to whether this was a PPV-worthy main event, well, it was hard-fought enough to warrant the status even if it wasn't on the same level as fights involving Fury, Joshua, Usyk, Wilder, or Ruiz Jr.

I thought the right man got the decision, but acknowledge that the 38-year-old Chisora made it mighty close, close enough to warrant a rematch at least.
