Ellie Scotney Unifies IBF and WBO Super Bantamweight Titles, Captures The Ring Magazine Belt

Ellie Scotney put on an impressive display to defeat Segolene Lefebvre over ten rounds, unifying the IBF and WBO super bantamweight titles and securing The Ring Magazine championship.

Under the guidance of trainer Shane McGuigan, Scotney started strong, applying pressure early on. Despite absorbing some right hands in the second round, Scotney successfully targeted Lefebvre's body in the third and landed a solid right hand and left hook near the bell.

As the fight progressed, Scotney's volume and variety of punches proved too much for Lefebvre, who struggled to keep pace with the Catford native.

Lefebvre appeared particularly uncomfortable with Scotney's body shots while Scotney continued to walk her opponent down with a spring in her step.

By the final bell, Scotney had secured a comfortable victory, with the judges scoring the bout 99-91, 97-93, and 96-94 in her favour. The win improved Scotney's record to 9-0, while Lefebvre suffered her first professional defeat, falling to 18-1 (1 KO).

"I'm just blessed. Now I've got three belts in just nine fights. There's a lot we didn't show. There's so much more to come," said the unified champion, expressing her desire to become the division's undisputed ruler.
