The fight was promoted by Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, and it was for the WBC International Super Featherweight title, which was Pacquiao's fifth defense. The fight saw Pacquiao prevail over Barrera via a unanimous decision, with two judges scoring the bout 118-109 and the third scoring it 115-112.
