Jimmy Wilde took part in 15 recorded bouts during 1916, the fourth of which was his British and IBU World Flyweight Title fight against England's Joe Symonds at the National Sporting Club, Covent Garden, London on the 14th February.
The pair had met previously on the 16th November 1914 in a British Flyweight Title Eliminator which Wilde had won on points over the 15 round distance.
In the second fight, the ending is recorded on BoxRec as a 12th round retirement, but other sources state it was a knockout finish.
