Elnur Samedov vs Liam Wilson

This is a tight one. I fancy Wilson’s chances when he gets close enough to turn that left hook over, but Samedov can make him chase a fair bit before he gets there. The danger for Liam is getting impatient and reaching for the hook from a step too far out. His feet get left behind, and there’s a straight left coming back through the gap.

I’d have Wilson jab at the chest and spin off, creating openings while he has Samedov square. Get the hook into the ribs first and see how keen Samedov is to stand his ground after a few of those. Samedov’s best answer is to make Wilson reset his feet. A short step off, then the straight left as Liam turns to face him, is enough to spoil a lot of good pressure.

I reckon Wilson will have his spells when he pins him down, but Samedov will land the cleaner shots in enough of the tight rounds. Samedov wins by a narrow points decision.
