Why the House picks Denzel Bentley
Good matchmaking! I see this as a 50/50 fight between two men who can punish mistakes. I fancy Bentley, but Mosley’s win over Serhii Bohachuk makes him a dangerous opponent, regardless of what you think of the surname.
Bentley’s best weapon here is his jab setting up the counter right. Against Endry Saavedra, he showed he could absorb pressure, find his opening and finish decisively. My concern is how much initiative he surrendered before doing it. Let Mosley establish his jab, and Bentley could spend too long reacting.
Mosley brings a straight right and showed against Bohachuk that he can slip a shot and answer immediately. Bentley cannot admire his work after landing. He needs to move his head or change position before the reply comes back.
Mosley’s willingness to trade gives Bentley opportunities, though. I’d want Denzel varying the jab between chest and head, making Mosley reset, then putting combinations together without lingering in range.
I expect a competitive fight with uncomfortable spells for both. Bentley’s jab and cleaner work between exchanges will make the difference. Bentley on points.
