Bruno Surace vs Kamil Bednarek
10 Round Super Middleweight Bout · The Venue Riyadh Season, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia · Sky Sports
Why the House picks Bruno Surace
I'm not sure if this is meant to be a 50/50 fight for the Riyadh season card. Just by facing Munguia in his last two outings, Surace is at a much higher level than his unbeaten opponent. Bednarek has no names on his record that compare to Munguia, whom Surace stopped in the first fight and lost to by unanimous decision in the second. He has also fought at the French national level and looks a cut above the Pole.
The Frenchman has only five stoppage wins in his 29-fight pro career, so he cannot be seen as a heavy-handed puncher. He is a thinker who uses timing and positioning to hurt his opponents. With 10 stoppage wins in his 17 pro fights, Bednarek holds the best stoppage percentage, but against limited opposition. So for me, the sensible pick is Surace on points.
