France's Tony Yoka scored a good win and picked up the vacant European Heavyweight Title when he stopped Belgium's Joel Tambwe Djeko in the 12th and final round at the H Arena in Nantes, France.
Yoka, a 2016 Olympic Gold medalist had to work hard to break the resistance of the 6ft 6 Inch Djeko who was only having his second bout as a fully-fledged heavyweight.
Yoka's jab was the story of this fight, using it to control both the distance and tempo throughout. By the final round, with Djeko's right eye was closing, the referee Jean-Robert Laine decided he had seen enough and ended matters, handing Yoka win number ten.
