Lewis Crocker drops Deniz Ilbay but settles for points win

Belfast prospect Lewis Crocker picked up some useful experience in his ten-round welterweight main attraction on MTK Global's show from the Bolton Whites Hotel.

Crocker bossed the fight from the start but Ibay came to win and he landed some hurtful shots himself, but it was 24-year-old Crocker who scored the only knockdown of the fight when a left hook to the body followed by a right to the head felled the German visitor in the 3rd round.

Ibay would be a welcomed test for other UK prospects and could spring an upset or two along the way, but Crocker looks like one to watch and was just too good for Ibay on this showing, earning a unanimous decision from the three ringside judges.

Scores: Michael Alexander 97-93 | Terry O'Connor 97-92 | Bob Williams 99-90.
