Joe Cordina destroys Joshuah Hernandez in fifty three seconds

Cardiff's Joe Cordina showed what he can do with two good hands when he blasted out Chicago's Joshuah Hernandez in 53 seconds of the first round on the third and final instalment of Matchroom Fight Camp 2021 in Brentwood, Essex.

Plagued with a damaged right hand for some time now, Cordina showed that the hand surgery he underwent has given him back one of the biggest weapons in his arsenal. He didn't take long to start landing fast, dangerous looks shots from the opening bell and the final shot dropped Hernandez heavily on his back. When the 25-year-old Hernandez struggled to rise on rubbery legs at referee Lee Every's count of nine, the fight was ended.

Like Buatsi, Cordina is another that looks ready for bigger things but is still short of experience at world title level.
