Jamaine Ortiz Demolitions Christian Rubio Mino In Four

Jamaine Ortiz (18-2-1, 9 KOs) channelled his frustrations from February's controversial loss to Teofimo Lopez into a brutal dismantling of Argentina's Cristian Ruben Mino (24-10-2, 17 KOs) at Orlando's Caribe Royale. The Worcester native unleashed a punishing display that resulted in four knockdowns before referee Michael Dejesus halted proceedings in the fourth round.

The outcome was never in doubt as Mino, clearly overmatched, retreated from the opening bell. Three knockdowns came from precise headshots, while a fourth resulted from a series of punishing right hands to Mino's ribcage. Ortiz, whose only career defeats have come against pound-for-pound talents Lopez and Vasiliy Lomachenko, showcased his full offensive arsenal against an opponent who provided minimal resistance.

Ortiz's technically flawless performance, coupled with the calibre of his opposition, hints at his potential to rise above the Lopez setback. His dominance against Mino reinforces Ortiz's status as a legitimate junior welterweight contender, instilling hope for a more meaningful test that will truly validate his position among the division's elite.
