Carlos Ocampo, the 25-year-old Mexican super-welterweight (28-1-0, 18 Ko's), picked up a good win at the Grand Hotel in Tijuana, Mexico when he floored Venezuelan southpaw Ivan Matute (30-3-0) three times en route to a 2nd round knockout win.

Ocampo's only loss came in June 2018 when he challenged Errol Spence Jr for his IBF World Welterweight Title in Frisco, Texas. A disastrous 1st round knockout loss set the Mexican sensation back in his career but his team decided to take a cautious approach in the rebuilding process, fighting only in Mexico.

Hopefully, we will soon see Ocampo back in some bigger fights, on a bigger stage.
