Alycia Baumgardner's Comeback Fight Ends in No-Contest After Head Clash with Delfine Persoon

Undisputed junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner's return to the ring ended in an unexpected no-contest against Delfine Persoon at Lux Studio in Atlanta. The bout was halted in the fourth round due to an accidental head clash, preventing an official decision.

Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs), under the guidance of her new lead trainer Ramon Matthews Jr., showcased an impressive level of form. The 30-year-old Detroit native's use of her jab to control distance in the opening round was masterful, and her left hook that caused Persoon's glove to touch the canvas was a sight to behold.

The champion's dominance continued in the second round as she pinned Persoon against the ropes, landing combinations that included a notably impactful right hand.
