Remigio Daniel Molina

Remigio Daniel Molina, who passed away at 45 on September 17, 2016, built a respectable 38-8-1 (14 KOs) professional record after representing Argentina at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The 5'4" southpaw from Corrientes demonstrated his ambition through challenges against three future boxing legends.

His first world title opportunity came against Naseem Hamed in Manchester on November 9, 1996. The WBO featherweight championship bout ended in the second round, with Hamed's power proving decisive. Molina's subsequent title shots against Erik Morales (WBC super bantamweight, April 1998) and Juan Manuel Marquez (November 1999) also resulted in stoppage defeats.
