Michael Moorer vs Freddie Delgado

Michael Moorer's third WBO World Light Heavyweight Title defence was a swift and decisive affair against Freddie Delgado at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Weighing in at 171 pounds, both fighters entered the ring on April 22, 1989, with Moorer looking to maintain his undefeated streak and continue his dominance in the division. 

The bout, however, was short-lived, as Moorer's power proved too much for Delgado. Within the first round, Moorer sent Delgado to the canvas twice, showcasing his formidable punching power. Despite Delgado's courage in rising after each knockdown, Moorer's relentless assault prompted referee Bob Watson to halt the contest at 2:39 in the opening round, securing Moorer's victory by TKO.
