Tsendbaatar Erdenebat vs Muhammad Yaqubov

This is an evenly matched, technical scrap. I fancy Erdenebat, but Yaqubov has enough movement and variety to make him work for it. Neither fighter should expect the other to stand there waiting to be hit.

Erdenebat’s advantage is how he puts combinations together, then creates space before the reply. Against Cobia Breedy, he controlled distance without constantly retreating. That’s useful here, because chasing Yaqubov would give away the timing that makes Erdenebat effective.

Yaqubov brings clever pressure behind his southpaw jab and good left hands downstairs. He can attack, change direction and leave an opponent turning. His weakness is that when somebody closes his preferred escape route, he can start coming straight through the middle and become easier to catch.

I’d want Erdenebat to use feints to draw those attacks, land short combinations, and make Yaqubov reset. He mustn’t get comfortable taking breaks after punching, because Yaqubov’s body work could make those pauses costly.

Both can box, but I trust Erdenebat’s control of distance and cleaner combinations to decide this. Erdenebat on points.
