Chris Billam-Smith vs Ryan Rozicki

This is a good fight and one that Billam-Smith had better come prepared for because Rozicki can bang.

Billam-Smith has the better proven form at world level. He has been in with Lawrence Okolie, Richard Riakporhe, Mateusz Masternak, Gilberto Ramirez and Brandon Glanton, and that matters. This is not just about the record. It is about rounds under pressure, knowing how to nick ugly sessions, how to hold position when the other man is trying to drag you into a brawl, and how to keep working when the fight gets messy. His last outing, the points win over Brandon Glanton, showed exactly that: it was tight midway through, but Billam-Smith pulled away late and won on scores of 116-113 and 116-112 twice, landing 195 of 667 punches to Glanton’s 172 of 560.

Rozicki is dangerous because he can punch. He will try to make Billam-Smith trade, push him back, and turn it into a physical cruiserweight tear-up. But Rozicki’s hasn't faced the top-grade opposition CBS has. His two fights with Yamil Peralta were awkward for him, with the rematch ending in a majority draw, and reports noted Peralta’s jab causing damage before Rozicki came on late.

This has to be a tear-up at some stage, but I believe CBS can scrape through on points.
