Amanda Serrano vs Skye Falzon
WBA & WBO World Female Featherweight Titles · Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot, San Juan, Puerto Rico · DAZN
Why the House picks Amanda Serrano
I see this as a fight Serrano should control, provided the farewell doesn’t tempt her into forcing a finish. Falzon deserves respect for taking it, but there’s a substantial gap in experience against top opposition.
Serrano’s strength is how she links her punches together. From that southpaw stance, she can drive the left through the middle, work downstairs and keep an opponent defending while she changes the target. Her weakness is staying in range after finishing a combination. She’ll accept a clean reply to keep an exchange going, and I’d want her feet moving before Falzon answers.
Falzon’s stoppage record suggests Serrano should respect her punching, although it doesn’t establish how effective she’ll be at this level. I’d have her jab at the chest, interrupt Serrano’s approach and turn out after short attacks. Standing still behind a high guard would give Serrano too much time to work the body.
I’m picking Serrano by stoppage in the second half. I expect her sustained combinations and body attack to make the difference as Falzon spends longer defending and gets fewer chances to answer.
