Agit Kabayel vs Nelson Hysa

This looks like a hefty step up for Hysa. He can punch, but I’m judging the opposition he’s beaten as well as the knockout column. Kabayel has shown he can handle serious resistance; Hysa still has to prove that against someone of this standard.

Hysa’s right hand gives him a chance early. Kabayel can be caught coming forward, and Knyba found him with straight shots before the German took control. Kabayel needs to close the distance behind his jab, with his head moving. His advantage is the way he switches attacks between head and body, making a bigger man defend continuously.

I expect Hysa to look dangerous while he’s fresh. Once Kabayel starts digging downstairs and forcing repeated exchanges, I reckon the gaps will appear. Power needs room and balance; sustained pressure takes both away.
