On June 5, 2021, it hosted a significant bout where Agit Kabayel defended his WBA International Heavyweight Title against Kevin Johnson, winning by unanimous decision over 12 rounds. Subsequently, on May 14, 2022, the arena featured a match between Armend Xhoxhaj and Roman Fress for the WBO Inter-Continental Cruiserweight Title, with Xhoxhaj securing a split decision victory.

Magdeburg boasts a rich boxing heritage, producing notable fighters such as former European Heavyweight Champion Axel Schulz and rising heavyweight contender Agit Kabayel.
