South Korean Myung Woo Yuh made the eleventh defence of his WBA World Light-flyweight Title against Japanese contender Katsumi Komiyama in Cheongju, South Korea.

Yuh dominated his challenger and won by technical knockout when referee Pinit Prayadsab stopped the fight at 1:18 of the 10th round. Yuh was ahead 89-82 on the scorecards of all three ringside judge's.

Yuh went on to make 17 successful defences of the title until he was beaten by Hiroki Ioka in November 1992. Three months later Yuh reclaimed the title from Ioka, made one more defence, and then retired with a 38-1 record and the winner of 19 out of 20 world title bouts.
